The #StandTogether Campaign Takes a Unique Approach to Prevent Bullying and Make Canadian Schools Safer

Ryan Cohen, Brand Director of the Canadian-based fashion sock brand, Yo Sox™, announced an Anti-Bullying Campaign in partnership with The Canadian Safe School Network (CSSN). Adding to the brand’s noteworthy list of philanthropic partnerships, the #StandTogether campaign takes a unique approach to this growing problem by raising awareness through fashion and social media.

Reported incidents of bullying and cyberbullying are rising at alarming rates with more than 70% of kids reporting they were victims of bullying because of their physical appearance, behavior, race or sexuality. More alarming is that 33% of teens who experience cyberbullying report symptoms of depression.

Yo Sox has introduced a four-piece men’s sock collection to support the cause with a portion of the proceeds from every sale benefiting The Canadian Safe School Network with donated proceeds funding meaningful anti-bullying programs. The exclusive sock collection features colorful striped patterned designs and brandishes the STAND TOGETHER tagline.

Yo Sox and CSSN, with the support of Canadian Sports conglomerate, SportsNet, will promote the campaign on their social media networks, as well as with a Public Service Announcement airing on SportsNet in the months of May and June.

Supporters of the cause are encouraged to pose with their Stand Together socks and post the images on their social media networks with the tags: @cndnsafeschools, @YoSox, #StandTogether.
